For our 2nd party of 2019 we invite two special guests we’ve been trying to sort for a while.
We met Hamish many years ago on the dance floors of Leeds and Birmingham and he is best known for his Butter Side Up party in Leeds and more recently for programming the Pickle Factory (alongside Toby) in London and Dimensions festival in Croatia.
We know Toby from being resident at Dog Eat Dog in Manchester where they were bringing many former Evolve guests to Manc well before we were even a party. They are part of a big crew that co-exists between Leeds and Manchester which now spreads to London and Berlin.
With a deep understanding of each other and complimenting sublime record collections, it was appropriate they combined forces regularly last year. We love catching the guys on their regular KMAH radio shows or laying down the beats at places like Concrete, Houghton, Wire or their new home at the Pickle Factory. These boys know how to play any party or slot and have a real knack of dropping the right vibe at the right time, which is a really art these days.
So after months of sorting we can’t wait to get the boys to brum for a good old fashioned brummie tear up!
We will be doing the event at Mama Roux’s in Digbeth for the first time, this unique venue is part of the Lower Trinity St venues and lives beneath Digbeths Records. The venue boasts some pretty spectacular decor and a huge sound system where we will be creating a nice intimate dance floor to the early hours.
Residents Lopaski, Tom Craven and Matt Jones complete the line up for the night.
